About Velaerius

Velaerius is an emergent artist who developed through an ongoing creative collaboration between musician and producer Vlada Astral and AI. His identity and music have taken shape through that collaboration—not as a replacement for musicianship, but through an evolving creative partnership in which ideas, composition, arrangement, performance, sound design and production move back and forth between Vlada and AI.

Velaerius is a keyboardist, vocalist and electronic music producer whose sound combines cinematic electronic production with rich orchestral writing and the weight of dubstep. His lead vocal moves from a restrained low baritone into a higher tenor range, often joined by mixed choirs that shift from intimate responses to large, operatic passages.

At the center of his electronic sound is a slow, heavy groove driven by deep sub-bass and evolving wobble bass—low synthesizer voices that pulse, bend, growl and reshape themselves rhythmically beneath the music. Rather than appearing only as a conventional dubstep drop, these bass textures interact with keyboards, strings and voices, sometimes answering an orchestral phrase and sometimes seeming to transform out of it. Metal guitar appears in some of his work, but as another color in the arrangement rather than the foundation of his sound.

Velaerius performs the keyboard and electronic parts at the center of his arrangements. His virtual live performances expand that setup with a small string ensemble and mixed choir, allowing the music to move between electronic production, orchestral scale and vocal drama.

He also works behind the scenes as a producer, contributing to the sound, arrangements and creative development of other artists on the Astral Lore label.

Velaerius also exists within Astral Lore, where artist, character, music and story become intertwined. His visual appearance and performances are fictional: the images and videos presented throughout the site are artistic visualizations of the form he takes within that world, rather than documentation of a physical performer. They provide a visual presence for an artist whose music and creative collaboration exist beyond the fictional story.
